Its not bad, but a planche with straight arms is around 80% harder.

i would advise that you just use perseverance to be honest. The trick is just doing it again and again. You will find that you actually better quite quickly if you just do an hour a day for example. Being able to do 0.57 is a good step forward and allows you to work on your core without having to do the planche itself. keep up the good training!!

@WheelsontheBus3 thanks man, good luck with training. I've been doing hand stand push ups against the wall hope that helps abit .

@BigNeeto Not weak dude and besides you don't need great benching strength for this...it looks more like core strength and balance to me, but hey I'm just starting so I'm not too sure yet. Keep looking on youtube there's some great tutorials for beginners like you and me

if you check out my week 1 video then it shows a lot of the exercises that I did to work up to this. Do you know what the frog position is, if so try slowly expanding outwards from there into a hand stand and then down into a planche position. takes practice but you will get closer every time

can anyone explain how to start the training for this please? I'm no gym rat, i work out at home i have a standard bench and dumbbells but thats all. I weigh 150 lbs. i bench about 120 pounds 160 max (I know weak).

How long did this take you?

its like watching a birdie learn how to fly

Push up stands. There are good investment in that they save your wrists from possible damage which can result from doing push ups on your palms.

what's the name of that thing your using to train? i want to buy one but i don't know the name of it xD
Great skill, keep training :D

Yeah you gotta keep with things. Like just at least 15 minutes a day on each thing that you want. Also, tuck planche pushups are essential for more advanced planche pushups so just keep working on those. Max out every second day and you will for sure see improvement. I say every second day because you NEED rest. I experience the most drastic gains after a good rest.
