I dont know if you saw it but there was an article in the USA Today newspaper about Christians mixing Eastern New Age beliefs with their faith. That's a bit troubling for someone like me because we read in God's Word that there is to be an exclusive worship to Jehovah God. In other words, when God says, "Have no other gods before me" certainly the implication is, I know the right thing. I'm going to bless you with good things; but for you to make a mixture of different beliefs?" Let me put it to you this way: How much poison would you be willing to drink in your morning coffee? One percent? How about two percent? What if its 25% or 50%? Get the idea?

But what bothers me even more is the thing that happens in the human heart that says, "I am free to pick and choose what I believe in this book, the Bible." For example, I know there are some people out there that are called Red Letter Believers. They only believe in the red letters (what Jesus spoke) and they kind of disregard the rest. There are other people that say, "Well the Ten Commandments are good for living. But those Proverbs, as wise as they are, there are some that really bother me." And how about, "Oh, you know that book Leviticus..."

Please remember, the Bible is an integrated message system from a very, very loving and compassionate God who hopes that we would know the truth from Genesis to Revelation. Why do I say that? Well, the Apostle Paul believed he was free and innocent from anyone's blood because he did not hesitate to preach the whole counsel of God. And the whole counsel of God is, of course, the truth concerning who God is from Genesis to Revelation.

So here's my encouragement to you: Choose wisely. Pick a god. But once you pick that god be wholly and totally devoted. Because the God I know. The God I serve. Hw says He's a jealous God. Is that jealous of you or jealous for you? Well, I think he's very, very jealous for you. He doesnt want you making any mistakes and He certainly doesnt want you drinking even one percent of poison. Amen?

@djk28161 Absolutely, the Holy Spirit of God calls people to faith. And God chooses individuals to speak His truth to bring people to Him. I believe Pastor Bob is one of those individuals. As far as how many out of 650 are sincere, I dont know, but I do know Heaven rejoices when ONE person comes to faith in Jesus, as he states in Luke 15:3-7. It's not up to us to guess how many are sincere, but to invest in ppl and help those who are sincerely searching while God does the work in them.

This weekend at church service Pastor Bob announced that over 650 people committed their lives to Christ in December at Calvary Fort Lauderdale. What was known as a pagan tradition has now become an amazing opportunity to reach those who normally would not set foot in a church besides Christmas (and Easter for that matter). And Pastor Bob did mention the pagan history of Christmas during the celebration services. This brings ppl to salvation and God. New Age pulls people away from God's truth.

Take Christmas. The tree was a euro pagen tradition to remind people of the spring that will come again. It's the birthday of Sol before Jesus. The Roman church made Jesus' birthday to make it easier for people to convert to Christianity. Mixing has happen and will always happen. If you really think mixing is bad and is poision go pick up a Jewish calender and make sure to morn the death of Jesus on Passover and not the europagen ester.

Bob coy needs to learn about Christianity. The Christian faith is mixture of pagan gods, Judaism, and Greek mystic. Humans mix culture and belifs get over it.
