Just wow. The finesse on the spins. The height and quality of the lifts and throws. The superb running edges from Elena. Beautiful.

5.8s for presentation?! You have got to be kidding me...I don't care how early they skated, this program is worth 5.9/6.0 easily. One of the best pairs SP I've ever seen.

We have some more :o) which are great ;o)
Look at Tatiana Totmianina and Maxim Marinin Snowstorm and Aliona and Robin Szolkovy worlds 2009 or skate canada 2009 or 2010!! gorgeous!!

They are truly beautiful and wonderful pair skaters. I love them second only to Gordeeva and Grinkov. It seems with most pairs, for the lifts and the throws, the man needs to wind up and go "umph" to get the girl up. Maybe it's the difference in their sizes that make it look so easy for those two pairs.

my favorite pair ever besides Marina&Gwendal in ice-dancing!

Gosh, that was just breathtaking. It's magical when they skate that flawlessly. They are every bit the perfect pair: she, beautiful, delicate and strong; he: handsome, virile, athletic and sensitive. What great redemption from '98 when they'd skated so beautifully, but Anton fell on their triple toes. If they'd skate after S & P and S & Z, I think they'd have 5.9's and 6.0's for that performance. Rightfully so.
You're wrong there. North Americans don't necessarily stick together. You should change your comment to "people in Canada and Scott Hamilton." Many Americans, myself included, thought that Elena and Anton were the clear winners and I personally was horrified that a second gold was awarded to S&P. Doesn't matter to me if a skater is Russian, Canadian, Chinese, or from the North Pole, I only care about how they skate.
