I don't think so. The apps work offline and its just a push for the Chrome OS because WebGL is not ready yet and it will take WebGL at least 5 years from now I think. So activating Native Client to bring Games to Chrome OS is a very smart move.
And its not like you miss something when you use Firefox on a Windows/Mac, because Windows/Mac has much better games.

I think adobe will pull this off better than google.. Unreal Engine through flash without any download times says hi! Adobe's c++ through flash Code name "Alchemy" might do this better..
Downloading bastion through a browser is not very web friendly and doesn't server americas instant gratification expectations..
