We present Skinput, a technology that appropriates the human body for acoustic transmission, allowing the skin to be used as a finger input surface. In particular, we resolve the location of finger taps on the arm and hand by analyzing mechanical vibrations that propagate through the body. We collect these signals using a novel array of sensors worn as an armband. This approach provides an always-available, naturally-portable, and on-body interactive surface. To illustrate the potential of our approach, we developed several proof-of-concept applications on top of our sensing and classification system.

well no, its good to see people are aware the multiple possibilities that could be a hinder to people using it. Its always good to see ahead and make sure nothing goes wrong with this. And with anything, the technology used in this band could very well be slimmed down.

This would be really cool, if we didn't need to wear any electronics.
But that would most likely involve surgery and we would have to upgrade the tech overtime, there would be malfunctions, i'm just getting ahead of myself....

the projector at the time makes it too bulky... but over time its totaly going to be better... the acoustic transmission alone is totally awesome just for calibrating with commands. I'd totally use it as a fun midi control or DJ mapping for my musical hobbies
