  • I just finished the game myself :-)

One question. Do you have any use for the silver mirror or the holy water? The stuff you can buy at the adventures shop.

  • @Gylve81 If you equip the mirror, it will deflect the gaze of a medusa. The holy water can be used against zombies.

  • +5 Jo Stick, Defoliation Mail, Piercing Long Bow, Incandescent Battle Axe!?!

Where did you find that stuff?

  • @PlayingWithHistory Well, since this is my third time playing through Gateway, I figured I would liven it up a bit and play with 3 characters rather than 6, as seen in many demo's of the gold box series. Krevish does seem to mettle with the 3 char setup though. Perhaps I should play with 2 char + Krevish, or play with 3 and eliminate Krevish outright. I'd say my favorite gold box game is Pool of Radiance, however after PoR, Gateway comes in a close 2nd. The items in question were created by me.

  • @PlayingWithHistory Youtube only allows a certain number of space for text so here goes pt.2 of my post...to create items in Gateway, you need a hacked .exe, then in the DOSBox command prompt, type game.exe Super Wooden You can then edit options in the game to create items etc.

  • @PlayingWithHistory pt. 3, if you are looking for a hacked .exe of Gateway to the Savage Frontier, google weekendwastemonster gateway to the savage frontier

Ahhh. The medusa vs mirror was an easy one :-) I thought I had tested it but obviously not. Well now its time to continue with treasures from the savage frontier.

  • @sokolkeep Thanks for the heads-up. I'd never been to that site before.
