What's known as the "furry fandom" stems from childhood fascination with nonhuman characters in popular culture followed by adolescent self loathing and the synthesis of sexual maturity and identity with the childhood fantasies the furry held. It's inherently a form of sexual escapism, regardless of whether or not the sexual aspect manifests as the predominant focus of the fetishism. Honestly do whatever the fuck you want but don't pretend your shit doesn't stink like the rest of ours.
