This actually does work. The size of the first bottom fold seems to be the key and it's a bit tricky to get the proportions correct. But using some scrap paper and several refolds, I got it to basically work. I like other origami envelopes on here better though.

@juvianah Uh, excuse you! Can you not tell that if try to imitate the approximate dimensions of this paper you'll end up with HUGE GAPS on the inner corners of this envelop? You'd have to readjust the bottom part of the paper which would make the envelop smaller. And if you do that, the triangle at the top would be to big to put into the flap, making it really awkward to close. AND DON'T TRY TO ACT YOU'RE ALL THAT WHEN YOU USE "2" INSTEAD OF "TOO". GET YOUR GRAMMAR STRAIGHT!

After you make the triangle at the top, you just fold it down and the tip goes under the straight bottom folded part.
