  • Rangel is facing a probe from the House ethics committee, while Republican Senator John Ensign is under scrutiny from the FBI. And yet, there's no media frenzy. No nightly segments on Hannity speculating about the need for Ensign to resign in disgrace. Instead, the media's fascinated with Charlie Rangel.

Why would Rangel's case make a difficult election year more difficult for Democrats, while Ensign's sex-ethics-corruption scandal is considered irrelevant to the Republican Party?

  • give them enough rope they will eventually hang themselves.

  • @hugBitCH you think he will just relinquish his power without an embarrassing public trial? this will make the party suffer.

  • @hugBitCH granted

  • @LeGioNoFZioN I'm pretty sure liberals have been saying the same thing about conservatives who are career politicians as well.

  • @GrandArchitect3D That he does, it doesn't change my opinion though.

  • @getplaning Well, if Ensign did something really bad, then yes.

  • @StoogeWatcher I agree, Rangel should resign. Should John Ensign resign?

  • @getplaning Reangel was the chair of the House Ways and Means Cmmittee....WHICH IS RESPONSIBLE FOR WRITING OUR NATION'S TAX CODES! Like most Democrats, Rangel supports higher taxes, but won't pay his.

  • Well, that bitch Pelosi promised "the most open, most honest, most ethical COngress in history." Of course, Democrats love tax cheats.

  • @junkforkaryn he claims he did nothing wrong. he has a right to a fair and open trial on national television. we will see the most ethical congress in history in action.

  • screw your elections. process is process, hasn't anyone learned anything from the sherrod hit job?
