And now we got the 8.4 on richter scale near the coast of Japan at 03-11-2011. Phew..Earthquake combined with Tsunami. Tragic man !!!

x_x Scary...this is going to happen again :\. They were going through a major tectonic shift then & experienced the strongest earthquake known to man. We're in one now...a major tectonic shift.....and nature always out does herself. Ugh.....the next one is going to be MASSIVE and probably not as forgiving. It's amazing so few perished with the amount of destruction unleashed.....with expansion, more man made structures compacted into one area &over population...truly it would be chaotic >_<.

Actually, we lost our railroad train due to the 1946 tsunami. The Hawaii Consolidated Railroad didn't have the finances to attempt to reconstruct all the damaged track and bridges, so it went out of business. So by the time of this tsunami in 1960, it was long gone.
