Are you nuts? Take a seat and have a chill pill. Then watch THE Jennifer Holliday watch?v=kC_u_q-iND0 original (skip 3:29 up to 5:40 and then continue to 6:10 till the end of the video).
And what permission are you talking about? Anybody can cover any song. It is being done and has been done since time immemorial by the great divas like WH, CD, and MC. The question is, can you make it better. Charice definitely made this better plus some. And this is only practice!
