  • seeeriously some of the realest and bestest rock n roll to this day.

  • I played some of these songs last night and I realized that the C-based tuning they use on Unreal Is Here and The Guard Attacks could also be something like CGCFAD (like drop-D but a whole step down). But I'm not sure...

  • Really? Hmm...I'm going to have to mess around with those tunings to see what I can figure out then. Thanks.

  • Actually, most if not all songs on Gone Glimmering are in drop A (AADGBE), including Break Up Your Band and Peeled Out Too Late, and they used that tuning a lot on Ride The Fader too, but The Guard Attacks and Unreal Is Here are in CGDGBE.

  • I'm not sure about other songs, but I'm almost 100% sure Break Up Your Band, The Guard Attacks, and Unreal Is Here is in drop D, from what I've been able to figure out. And I've been able to play Peeled Out Too Late and Flight '96 in standard tuning. If you've got the DVD, watch Clay's hands in the hidden live easter eggs, and it kinda gives it away for a few songs because of the fingering he uses.

  • haha I love the way Sweeney sings

does anyone know what tuning Chavez uses?

  • God bless the men of Chavez! Saw 'em in L.A. on New Year's Eve. Devestating!!!
