Wygląda na polskie laboratorium, używałam takich mieszadeł na studiach ;)

Hi, I'm carrying out the B-Z reaction for an assessed chemistry practical as part of my A-level. Could anyone tell me any good (reliable!) online sites that give the theory behind the reaction? I'm struggling at the moment to find sites which I both understand and are useful to explaining the background theory. Thanks :)

This is sick.

@nickharvey7 yes. that is correct. the reaction would usually show changes (fluid dynamics) if it is not stirred constantly (process of space). This element can by removed with the use of an electric mixer that keeps the liquid constantly stirred.

I have read that this process in a process in time not space is this true?

can any person experienced in doing the above type of reaction advise the effects of heat, light, and vibration to the results found ? tx for the video and feedback

I use a little less Ferroine to see more colors...

In hands of a stupid person a fork is a very dangerous thing.

these reactions are so cool. my pal is doin this in advanced higher chemistry. his one looked different though, instead of a complete colour change his was blue and little bits of pink kept pulsing through it. its so cool to watch.
Looks not like BZ but rather like the Briggs-Rauscher reaction!

In my profile I have both reactions so you can compare BZ with BR
