What happened is that the programmable ball doesnt weigh enough, and its settings werent modified when you clicked on "Show Our Solution"
It then took too long for it to out-weigh the leaky paint bucket, and Mel broke the laser beam before the second laser got turned on.

On the the Incredible Machine 2, the Designer's Solution to Head To Head Puzzle 38: Age of the Aquarium does not work. A Pinball uses a Teeter-Toter to push 2 Blimps up and down to break both Aquariums, but fails to get the lower blimp to hit the Bottom Fish Tank.

ContraptionWizard is right. The problem is with the paint can. Program it to have slow drops in order to make this contraption work.
