My New Jensen model 60 steam engine running of a BIX gas burner. I also replaced all the paper gaskets with Teflon ones.

  • under proper maintenance and lubrication, how many hours of operation can one of these last? I would love to get one, but i dont want it to die on me.

    As long as you oiled it before every run and really looked after it i'm pretty sure you would get several thousand hours out of it, even if a part did fail they are still available as spares from Jensen direct. To put it in perspective i did read that one of Jensen's larger machines clocked up over 8000 hours continuous use, although bear in mind that machine is more like a scale model than a simple toy like the one in my video.
