@dixie11 I don't even think the molestation thing was the biggest factor in his demise but it did have a major impact. Chocolate Factory was a huge success. His fallout with Jay-Z basically put a damper on his career. Jay-Z is powerful. Seems like R. Kelly was semi blacklisted in the industry after that. It's a real shame. We have to do a better job embracing our musical legends. If you think about all legendary artists had major issues and that didn't stop fans from supporting them.

@ThatwasTERRIBLE yo im with you with everything you said about R.Kelly cause the man is a legend in the RnB/hip-hop game, I personally love most of his songs dating back to even his debut days, but unfortunately he burned a part of his legacy with that sex-tape and child molestation case..doesn't affect me too much because i still like his music, but some people burned his cd's lol

@chinigold R. Kelly is the total package. His innovation, versatility, songwriting ability, talent, longevity, influence, and appeal throughout generations and genres put him ahead of Maxwell. You can say that you prefer Maxwell but you can't say that Maxwell is greater than R. Kelly. R. Kelly is one of the rare true legends, and people don't appreciate him. Fans or urban music need to respect that man in the way they respect Marvin, Tupac, Biggie.

R. Kelly is my also one of my favorites and is very innovative. Not as smooth or as good as a singer as Maxwell. Sorry budz

maxwell one of if not the best R&B singer out there. Not many singers can last year after year still making jaw dropping hits and each one is better than the last. Hats off to maxwell!
