Just so you know, Glen, Liam, Mundy, Declan and myself started at 2pm that day and were still going after 9pm. The event was to raise money for the Simon Community and the Peter McVerry trust who look after homeless people and people with addiction problems. Bono was having a Christmas meal in town with his family and friends and came out to join us for a few songs. Glen is the real star here. He does this every year.......Steve Wall

Think maybe Bono thought the charity event would get more coverage if he turned up. And on christmas eve! Most stars wouldn't be arsed going out on the streets of Dublin for shopping never mind to raise some awareness.

Absolute state of Bono in this, completely down there to satisfy himself and his ego and couldnt give a shit about whats its about. Shows up every year for ten minutes with big security guards waves his hands about and sings a couple of u2 songs then leaves.
