Oh, and by the way, last time I checked the Republicans control the Michigan Senate. All that aside - sunshine laws are a great idea; so why do you back a republican party that has destroyed or disregarded so many of those laws over the past 7 years?

You'd be a better commentator if you didn't ignore facts that don't fit into your partisan worldview. The contract for the state police station was awarded by ENGLER, not Granholm. That sweetheart contract has Republican fingerprints all over it (like Gary Granger); both Terri Lynn Land and Mike Cox (ironically) could have stopped the project - but they're letting it go forward. Also, the cost of the station is $45 million, not $100mil ($116 mil is the cost over 25 years to lease the space).
