NASA 's newest Earth-observing research mission, Glory, is designed to improve our understanding of how the sun and airborne particles called aerosols affect Earth's climate. Scientists discussed the scientific objectives of this mission with the press and others at a briefing at NASA headquarters. Glory is slated to launch in February, 2011.
