  • never caulk around the base of a toilet, if your toilet breaks and you have to replace it you will ruin your floor if your using vinyl or other flexible material. Also if you caulk around the bottom and somethign goes wrong with the toilet all you are doing is creating a dam to keep the water underneath the toilet and the water will then find a different way to go .... its better to know of a problem early than find it when its too late
