  • @individuuell83 I have heardmany fans say that the Tony Turner book in The Supremes All That Glittered was mainly lies - but - tell me HOW WOULD THEY KNOW - Likely they have never met any of The Supremes. Anyway if you read his book it tells the SAME STORY that Flo is telling here, so whose is lying. Thanks for your comment.

  • @ramona2400 that's true

there are no proofs who's right

  • Listening to this interview it appears that it is the same story Tony Turner wrote about Flo Ballard twenty something years ago in his much fan bashed book ALL THAT GLITTERED MY LIFE WITH THE SUPREMES. These recordings by Miss Ballard in her own words came out to the public long after the Turner Book. Read the book and then re listen to this self spoken interview of Flo Ballard and it appears that Tony Turner told and knew the real sad truth. R.I.P Ms. Ballard - you are still a star.

  • @ramona2400 that's really interesting

    I didn't know that

some people say Tony Turners book only consisted out of lies... but it seams like it didn't

  • What a sad ending to such a major talent.

  • @Bubberscat really true...

fact is, she was just about planning her second solo-try before she died...

  • @72DBRONCO she always was and will always be my favourite supreme too

inside and outside a beautiful lady

  • I've always felt that way, and I guss a lot of other people did too. Flo was the prettiest and was said to be the most talented, and Diana looked like Cruella Deville!!

  • @ramona2400 What struck me as ODD in Turner's book is the fact that he claims to have been so close with Florence, running errands for her left and right. Of Flo "rearranging" his mother's front room, YET THERE IS NOT ONE PICTURE OF TURNER WITH FLO. After all those years "being with Miss Flo", you would think there would be at least ONE picture of them together.

  • THE SUPREMES (Florence Ballard, Mary Wilson & Diane Ross) were a unique blend of talent that at any given point depending on the material they tackled anyone could be lead, when Diane Ross GREED & AMBITION plotted the trail of deceit that will include seducing Berry Gordy, getting into his pants to take control of the group, change the format that would make her permanent lead, HAVE FLORENCE BALLARD REPLACED so she would have Carte Blanche to set the platform for her "solo career" THE DREAM DIE

  • Monsters rule the bizness, always have, always will. Sad.

  • @individuell83 There are tapes reportedly of Mary Wilson singing the orginal lead on WHERE DID OUR LOVE GO - a song that Wilson said she rejected the lead on because she did not like the song. There are recordings from Flo's ABC sessions, another collection that have not been heard to date, I was told mostly covers from that time. Why ABC did so many covers with Flo. Motown has Flo doing many unreleased leads including Baby Love, I was told.
