On the 12th of September, Dave Alley raced around Australia to raise money for the Royal Flying Doctors Service. Dave smashed the world record and completed the 14,251km journey in 37 Days, 20 hours and 45 minutes. That's an average of over 370km per day and between 15 - 20 hours per day on the Flight Bike.

Some amusing facts from the ride:
- The Flight CR1 Road bike had zero flat tyres, however the Landrover support vehicle had two!
- The landrover 4WD ran over the flight bike and survived unscathed.
- No bike service was needed even after 14,251km of riding.
- Dave only slept around 10 hours over the last 3 epic days of cycling.

Goldcross Cycles was proud to support Dave on his world record breaking ride by sponsoring Dave with a Flight CR1 road bike, free servicing and donating a cheque to the Royal Flying Doctors Service for $3,000.

Well done Dave!
