@karlwinkler66 Just commenting for people who are watching this to get build ideas. We've made 1 that we put a silencer on (same style as yours) and the results were that it was still loud until we put a longer barrel on it. The longer barrel and silencer combo is good but if you want a quiet gun you have to have the length in the barrel to start with. The silencer was removable and the difference didn't warrant the extra weight so it was tossed very quickly.

@mechredd truth is it didn't work that well. I ended up changing it to a sealed design.

Why did you port your suppressor? Doesn't it need to be sealed in order to trap the expanding gas?
Cool video though.

@cxiong116 Static Guard. You can get it at any drug store in the laundry detergent aisle.
Needs a very long barrel. Short barrel and silencer does jack shit

@kitecrazzzy Do you know anything about barrel/chamber ratios? This gun was designed to do certain things and it does them well. You designed any guns?

how big of an effect does the silencer help???

@nerfdragons It's difficult to tell since I don't have an identical spud gun without the silencer. I think it does *something*, I'm just not sure what.

@vwrFEW It's a Delta that I bought about 10 years ago mostly for woodworking. It's a bench top model with belt drive - can change speeds by using the different-sized pulleys in the head.
