I was in the mood to build something very small and easy so i bought this very little kit for about 5 euro in a local shop. It consists only of a few parts, the assembly is very easy. I can recommend this kit.
The model itself isn´t a masterpiece, there is only little you can expect from such a simple kit. I hope you like it anyway.
I just added some rigging on my own, using stretched plastic sprues.
The model was painted with acrylic paints from Revell.

The model shows a Spanish Galleon of the 17th century. It has some oars, because this type of ship was more used in the Mediterranean, where oars were useful due to frequent calms.

I don´t own the rights for the music.
Music: "Hermandad de piratas" from the PC game "Tropico 2"

  • A little beauty.. :) :) When I was younger (a long time ago) I used to build a lot of these style small scale ships, I loved them.. Can't remember what make they were, but probably Airfix or something like that. Either way, this took me right back to those times.. Very nice, very nice indeed! :)

  • @BasicModelling thank you rob :) when i saw this kit on the shop i fell in love with it immediately, so small and cute!

i´m working on a very funny diorama at the moment, i hope i can realize everything i want to have on that diorama. it shows a german paratrooper landing in front of a confused dutch farmer in 1940.

  • Good to hear you are feeling better. I am still having a hard time getting motivated to model : ( I like this nice little build you have done very much buddy all you modellers are keeping my spirits up with your vids ; )

  • @primativemodelling hehe my friend, your motivation will come back, if not i will spam models as long as you build models again god dammit!!!! :):)

  • @BasicModelling Thank you, Rob. I'm almost finished building the Mi-24 1:72 Hungarian Air Force (kangaroo). Now a hard frost. Today -21 ° C! In my studio is very cold. I think after 2-3 days I will be able to finish the model.

  • @888HamilkarBarkas888 Should be good, looking forward to it. :) Have started prepping the Viking oarsmen (1/72) that I got in the post a few days ago, they have been cleaned up, washed and primed and the plan is to paint them inbetween other projects, so that when I get round to building the Viking longboat I bought as a birthday gift to myself, the figures will be already done and can be placed by the oars without delaying the build of the boat. :) Should work in theory :)

  • @fmcVlad Didn't know you had been through rough times.. good to have you back though, glad all is better.. :)

  • its incredible that U can build anythink ..and it will looks great

  • @888HamilkarBarkas888 Ha ha ha I consider myself told ; D We are changing our ISP at the moment so no vids anyway for a short while : ( The modelling bug has been itching and im gonna scratch build some fuel barrels for the LKW 10t wagon for my convoy in the meantime..I will be back : D Stay cool buddy.
