Monty Panesar helps Summer Hill Cricket Club spinners get the ball on a good length by using a strong leading arm, and a quick and full follow-through with the bowling arm.

  • I was told if you had too long a delivery stride you will lose spin for some reason, i don't know why.

  • @johnnycheck99 That's interesting relating to the stride, have you seen the length of Warnes stride sometimes - it is massive! Do you reckon there's a difference stride-wise between wrist spinners and Finger Spinners?

  • Is this in Australia or South Africa?

And the pivot is a vital aspect in finger spinning-helps you get much more spin. Also do not have too long a delivery stride or you will lose spin.

  • I think this goes to show how difficult coaching is, but I like the way he focuses on just one aspect e.g the use of the front arm in conjunction with the arm speed. Potentially a good exercise.
