  • Im just uploading a new video where I explain some stuff, its also better looking.

I made the railsystem with 2 15 mm rails (50 cm long). You can get them at any home depot or diy shop. They are hold together by a boiler pipe wall mount thing which happens to be exactly 60 mm apart (which is the standard in the industry). I use 2 of those, and the whole thing gets stronger by plastic click things which are also used to allign copper/iron pipes to a wall.

  • where did you find 15 mm rails! i live in the US and the pipes only come in inches closest i can get is 3/8

  • This design is often ineffective. I highly recommend looking into the Cam Caddie Scorpion. $38 was well worth it for a sturdy and effective steadycam that will help you capture amazingly smooth shots.

  • What did you use to connect the rails to the mounting plate? Also what did you use as a mounting plate. Im building my own (different design but using rails) and having trouble with that bit

  • Awesome job! Carbon fiber rods would cut down all that weight.

  • @crazykar3 my tripod weighs around 10# yea....it gets tiring, but honestly not that bad of an idea lol

  • @crazykar3 that's what i did...totally agree!

  • lmao all these people with there shoulder braces, do yourself a favor, if your not using any accessories on the rails, then do this

    A. Get a tripod

    B. Place your camera am the tripod

    C. Position the camera so its looking straight up

    D. Put the tripod legs on your shoulder, so that the screen is pointing behind u

    E. Turn on your camera and film

  • How did u make the handles and how did u attach it, thats the part i am stuck with with my rig

  • @Aldehyde74 i think so but u wont get hd on that monitor..
