When we went out sailing it was 25 knots, with big waves. However, after half an hour the wind increased to over 35 knots, wtih gusts over 40. We were quite far upwind by this time, and the video shows our mad dash back to the safety of the SailBase.

were are you guyssailing im in stockton ca and when we are in a wind storm we dont have to worry about big waves it just high wind and no surf

Epic! I'm into windsurfing, but I'm well aware that sailing is harder to do when the wind picks up.

i'm not much of a sailor, but i've sailed on bigger boats and catamarans, lots of different kinds, nothing i mean nothing is more exciting than a laser sailed well in a big blow!!!!
