Yeah water level needs to be below the top for sure or risk boil over of acid during charging. I like 1/2 inch but 1/4 inch is ok

LVS Sales has the worst customer service I have ever experienced and I will never do business with them again. They were s-l-o-w to respond and did not stand behind the products they offer. Avoid a similar bad experience and look elsewhere for your golf cart needs.
