how strong is MDF?

@Orochifinikusu The MDF is quite thin but is braced and supported by the 2" by 2" straight wood batons, this gives it enough strength to work ok.

Hi, absolutely no option to go into the loft either am afraid, false ceiling up there with signs everywhere advising not to walk on the floor, so very big cost, this is the reason I have opted for this solution, I admit its not ideal but I hope to show just what can be achieved even with limited space. Thanks for your comments.

looking nice but whay not go upstairs into the loft all you need is flooring and just some plastic sheeting on the roof like the stuff for the garden and a few lights your good to go you can run also the lights of a plug so if you had 3 lights wire em all into one plug or switch and for power just put some wire goin to a plug then you can plug it in the hallway or bedroom and when done just unplug and put the plug in the loft :) thx
