i kinda did at first, but you have to realize not many people use an ipad for live performance, this makes paper diamond unique to many other dj/producers. also im pretty sure he controls effects by tilting the ipad in certain directions, much like the midi fighter 3D. so what may seem like dancing, he is actually controlling midi and audio effects

I didn't mean to insult you, one never knows with whom they're speaking online. I really like using my iPad along with my APC40 and my Remote 25SL, they are all good for different things, but it's all preference. It's difficult as a controllerist to make what you're doing onstage look interesting/entertaining as I'm sure you well know. But we probably pretty much all look stupid jumping around, pushing buttons and tweaking knobs/faders...And I concur, Paper Diamond rocks!

Ok, so, I feel a bit bad saying it's ridiculous now. I'm not a layperson, I've used many MIDI controllers including iPads. I think that what makes it seem silly to me is 2 things: firstly dancing holding something that looks more like a box than an instrument is weird. Try it: pick up a brick with both hands and start dancing. Weird. Secondly, despite the customisation options, iPads make fragile, untactile and generally unfriendly controllers. But anyways, Paper Diamond's music is still great.
