Here's a peice of advice Suzy won't give you.... Don't pay. Simply don't pay. Go out and max your cards and then don't pay. What are they gonna do, report you? So the fuck what? All that means is that your less likely to get a loan or another credit card. SO WHAT? You need to get rid of the ones you have. The LAST thing you need is more "credit".

I WILL NEVER GET A CREDIT CARD WITH CHASE AGAIN !!! ;(

My CHASE card raised my interest to 14%. My wife's CHASE card was raised to 17%. They were only 7% when it was under wamu just a year ago. We have very good credit scores both around 740 and we have never been late in any of our payments. In fact I pay our cards twice a month and more than the minimum.

My wife just paid off and closed her account. I only owe 1000 now and will pay it off this week. I am looking forward to closing my card.

she talks like that because the vast majority of Americans are total idiots about finances and live way, way, way beyond their means.

Why does she talk like a condescending kindergarten teacher?

That's how you have to talk to most people so that they can understand finance...

I disagree. There's never a reason to talk in a condescending tone if you're trying to educate people.
