  • who strikes like this?in street? mmmmm ,I do not think so

  • "hands up in case my 'fancy technique' doesnt work" Words of a true master

  • "...I send him back 360 degrees..." You're actually sending him back 180 degrees. Sorry for the nitpick. I _LOVE_ the Aikido - fabulous stuff.

  • i second mr judo15 because of gary's videos ive decided to join my local dojo i start classes next week....cant wait. thanks again

  • Gary u truly r a great Akiadian!! Great technique! Makes me relalize why i Choose to Take Aikido ova every other martial art!! God Bless!!

  • This technique is very similar to a technique taught in my Kung Fu school. It really is all about timing as well as being prepared to change technique if it does not work (such as a person ducking to deliver an upper cut or the like). If one understands and can execute the timing well, this technique works great. Practice, practice, practice friends!! God bless!

  • remember this is a demonstration so you can see the waza: also see how tori moves away from uke avoiding the other hand. Also the head control must be positive, as shown in some of the movements, but it is hard to talk through everything, work to camera and hit every point - probably doing this after sevral hours of taping!

And although not shown tori can also employ atemi at several points through the movement.

  • You'd have to execute it quick otherwise he would send in a right uppercut whilst ducking under your hand on his neck. Any boxer would duck it and send you down. It must be lightning fast.
