German Shepherd pups fight over food

These are our crazy german shepherd pups at feed time at 7 weeks. The girl fires up as usual then the boys Diesel (blue collar) and Cog (black collar) tell her where to go.

BEFORE YOU JUMP TO CONCLUSIONS -
1 - they began with a bowl each, but would end up eating out of one bowl anyway, as they always want what the others are eating.
2 - I let this situation play out for the purpose of the video. The female (most agressive here) was only with us for a week after this, before being given a good family home.
3 - My dog (diesel) was seperated from chief (my mates dog)as chief became too dominant, and i did not want this affecting diesel's personality.
4 - diesel now lives with my parents, where he has the best life of any dog i know. He travels everywhere with my family there, and is a big softy. i still see him regularly.
5 - Chief (alpha male) lives with us still (18mths old) and is fantastic with his female friends, and small male friends in the neighbourhood. We are very careful with him with bigger males as he likes to be dominant, but generally he is very good.

@AmericanPitbulls1 food with grains many many dogs have died from grain and food allergy's from the euthanized pets and other things in cheap pet food thanks hope it helps but over all try to find a holistic pet store in your area where they only sell good foods and ask what they prefere

@tailuong16021991 You should buy a good puppy food or "all stages" food dont cheap out if you want a good coat and solid stools aka poop anyways do not what ever you do buy grocery store food or science diet pedigree or Iams all these foods contain euthanized pets really and other horribly things I suggest orijen if you can find some or Candidae I believe thats how its spelt both of these foods are made in Canada with real meats like cows that are HUMAN GRADE and do not buy

@bent8munro I'm surprised that you didn't correct the behavior and just let them carry on. Aggressiveness should not be tolerated under any circumstances. Puppies or not.

Sum ppl will say it's cruel to let pups fight but it's natural behaviour for them to scrap. It's healthy as they need to discover boundaries & limits as kids do too. Once the pups realise who's top dog, they will get on a lot better.

Absolutely, without doubt the best way to encourage food aggression and protective behaviour. Just imagine a small child who knows no better getting too close......child scarred for life.......puppies behaviour patterned for life....way to go!!!
