What scale is this? This layout is brilliant.

Woah! Well it seems worth it, very effective! I'm thinking of trying to fit a LokSound Micro into a Backwoods DHR c class pacific tender, then that should give me enough space in the smokebox to fit a seuthe smoke unit and maybe some lighting. Which smoke unit did you use?

Hi Tom Good luck - I have a Loksound Micro awaiting instalation in Welsh Pony - but in 7mm scale - my new project. Not tried it yet but looks very promising. The smoke in JS is from 'First Class trains' ad in the 'toddler' and is a smoke tube - ie just the innards of a smoke unit with oil reservoirs as the top of boiler(s) and smokeboxes - turned brass. F Loco and layout next in action at Scaleforum Leatherhead 29/30 sept 2007 Paul

hi, really impressed by this, what decoder are you using for the sound? I'm going to attempt something similar in 009 but in a tender loco.

Hi Tom Drove me mad building it...Backwoods brass fairlie kit - heavily rebuilt to JS. 2mm assoc wheels on 7.83mm track. Lenz gold in down tank Dietz sound in up end. Maxon motor in firebox with speaker below. LED lights Seuthe smoke units scratchbuilt power bogies cardan shaft drive 200+hours.... But worth it in the end. Paul Thanks for interest
