Looks like you'll be going to boot camp about 2 weeks after I do! Which Cryptologic Technician rating did you get? I'm going as a Cryptologic Technician Interpretive (CTI).

@Bigelowsscreen Hey I'm sorry, I should have clarified! I got the Cryptologic Technician Networks (CTN). You know they didn't offer me that rate, but man I wish they would have! Do you know of anything you'll be doing?

@ohyousoFLY I only know a little! A CTI is basically a linguist and my "A" school is at the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, where I'll most likely be studying Russian. But, as far as the details of the actual job, it's all classified, just like yours. So, I'll find out in a few months haha.

@Bigelowsscreen oh wow! i wish i would have been offered that, i speak russian so it would have been a lot of fun! =/ but yeah, they told me that too, that most of the information regarding my job was classified.

I keep telling myself I shouldn't go into the military, but I still think it would be an adventure..Why are you leaving college to go into the navy?

@justletmegetafreaken Honestly, its because of the job market. I was an economics major, and a good student, but if you're not going to some super college there really is no future for it. Basically I was tired of paying for a degree I'd most likely not get to use. So I figured why not put college on hold, join the Navy, and after six years come out with my degree and experience!
