Because many suppressors can be fired wet, which cuts down further on sound. It's a temporary measure but an effective one.

@buttnut1080 just the cheap er... less expensive winchester ammo from walmart. it works great, and most .45 is subsonic out of a pistol. it starts to go faster than sound with the +P and +P+ rounds. thinking of getting a can?

what does firing the suppressor wet mean? i know guns, but im no expert, and ive never heard that term before.
ya, my experience with silencers is basically zero.. lol

@CrimsonOmen407 its just as it sounds. you put water inside of the suppressor. or other types of media. wire pulling gel, KY works pretty good, lithium grease, etc... anything that can help cool off the gas quicker. also note, not all suppressors are designed to be fired wet. Most rifle cans have to high of a pressure, and if you fill what little space there is inside, theres a good chance that the suppressor could rupture, or explode.
