shanghaiwolf, get the DR650SE, and put a supertrapp pipe on it. You will likely have to change the carb's main jet, but its cheap and easy. The ST pipe is adjustable (let it cool first) which is nice as the bike doesn't have variable valve timing, so you can tweak its mix the easy way! My 2002 has over 30,000 km on it, and runs like it has 2k. Its my third Suzuki ('83 GS 550e, '89 GSXR 750) but its my favourite. Not to say the Gixer was without its merits....
Hey man, nice. Im sick of street bikes, and am considering this as a good alternative in my military lifestyle (mixing outdoors and street in my off time here in italy) any tips or comments?

SteyrAUG wore out his boy-toy, HemiCuda. But then a little boy called JustinWB comes along and little Justin has a brand-new O-ring!
Arcteryx cleans up after the sausage fest, doing a few rounds of snowballing. They are all bisexual.
Now XDBACKUPGUN, EightySecond and AGW have stepped in for the mass sword fight. Really makes the snowballing go great.

You will love the DR 650. Can't recommend it enough. I've had mine for 2 years now, with not one single itty bitty problem.
