Ever wonder how to recover lost passwords? Wonder how strong your passsword is? Or how someone could steal it? Or are you tired of people who say you can do it with a TI-84?

This video will show you how YOU can crack a Windows password with almost no effort at all! The end also contains some simple tips on how to protect yourself from someone doing this to you.

There are more methods than shown here including using LiveCD versions of Linux (like Auditor Security Collection), bootable USB drives, network sniffing, or gaining access to your harddrive directly and stealing the password hashes.

Programs used: LoginRecovery Boot Floppy and L0phtCrack5 (LC5)

Computer used: 2.21 GHz AMD Athlon X2 4200+ with 2GB of RAM

Password info: 7 characters (6 letters, 1 number)

Crack time: 00:53:45

  • trinity rescue kit woks better

  • @Win7Hack3r Haven't heard of that. I'll have to look into it! Thanks for the tip!

  • ive tried the password recovery.com. it did get a simple password, but couldn't crack my admin password. i've tried everything i can get my hands on, and still no luk.

ophcrack, probably would have worked but whenever i try to boot the disc, im asked for admin password, which is the very thing i don't have. i have been going around in circles for a day and a half. i think im just going to wipe the system and say goodbye to all my porn.

  • @hardhick If it is asking for your admin password, you are NOT booting to the disk. It sounds like you are booting into Windows Safe Mode.

  • my computer doesnt have floppy disk lol. it takes SD cards

  • Should work off SD, as long as your BIOS is able to recognize it as a bootable drive.

  • nice one......

  • @IrishCoffeeWC3 There should be a BIOS option for booting from USB. Your card reader also may also just not support it.

  • It used to have Numb by Linkin Park in the background, all nicely timed.... But, well, you know how the music industry is...
