Cracking, This is a rock from the Manawatu rangers gorge area, It's a hard'ish limestone. (new zealand) The block I'm working on has been lifted onto a bord then drilled and Feathers and Wedges used for clean break.

  • Was there anything in it or are you using the limestone itself for something?

  • @roadkillrabbit69 I use the limestone for sculpting. There are small bits of shell but I have found no teeth or little things with legs.

  • Splitting rocks is so much fun as long as you don't lose your feathers and wedges in the debris below! What happens to the pieces next?
