  • I saw her 4 days ago in Vienna: the Final scene of Capriccio was breathtaking.

  • Perfectiion - that touching, introspective middle scetion was masterfully executed - I'm seeing Fleming perform this role in Vienna on Sunday - looking forward to it SO MUCH!

  • @Tuperatacu i saw her in vienna in June in this role! You are right! She´s just breathtaking in that role!

  • omg... take a look at 1:25

  • at 4:52 the Skies open and Heavenly Light caresses everything :)

  • I know exactly how your feel. Nearly every time I am in New York, I get the chance to speak with her. Her earthiness is unbelievable. I sometimes have to remind myself that I am in the presence of a human being. I simply can't believe that she can make such heavenly musical sounds and still be an ordinary woman.

  • Absolutely - she owns the Countess do you not think?

Also so nice as a person - she was so patient with everyone backstage, and autographed my programme.

  • She was AMAZING!!!! Wrung tears out of me! To hear that voice come at your body is one of life's highlights, no?

And Flening wins any contest against te Kanawa - she communicates more effectively on top of that beautiful, creamy, earthy, heavenly voice!

  • Hi there. Please let me know how the Sunday performance was. I saw her in this at the MET a couple weeks ago, and she was simply fantastic. She constantly amazes me in the fact that she gets better with age...much like te Kanawa. Thanks.

  • Renee simply can do no wrong. She is by far the world's greatest soprano. At nearly 50 years old, she is at her absolute peak, and is singing better than ever. I was her at the MET opening a couple of weeks ago, and am still amazed, especially in the Capriccio. I also got the chance to talk to her at the reception afterwards at length, and there is not a diva bone in her body. I don't think she actually knows how incredible she is.

    Brava Renee!
