Mayor Newsom's YouTube Update: March 20, 2010

In this week's YouTube update, Mayor Newsom encourages San Franciscans to fill out their 2010 census forms, talks about efforts to create jobs in San Francisco, and a new web site http://HireSF.org to help connect San Franciscans with jobs.

Mayor Gavin Newsom has said he would not allow his Police departments in any way enforce immigration laws or turn over to ICE illegal immigrants that are juveniles convicted of crimes. Anthony Bologna, 48, and his sons Michael, 20, and Matthew, 16, were returning from a picnic when they were gunned down on June 16, 2008 by Salvadoran national Edwin Ramos, 22. Ramos was arrested on felonies twice when he was 17 years old and never turned over to immigration because of his age.
