Saturday is a day when football is played around the world and this is no different in Lebanon except the stadiums are empty there and this is not for a lack of interest.
The country's stadiums should be filled with tens of thousands of fans but for the second season in a row as Al Jazeera's Zeina Khodr explains that the sport is suffering because of the country's politics.

I love football especially the Barclays Premier League and the Israel Premier League, both which I follow weekly. It is sad too see the state of Lebanese Football. The Politcal parties should get out and look for foreign investers. Politcal violence will always exists. It does here in N Ireland it does in Israel it does in Holland and the majority off other countries. But it would not be so bad as these countries don't have politcal parties backing actual clubs.

soccer is a sport
sport like music is a tool to bridge a global gap
due to politics we suffer
now politics should be politics and not mixed with anything else
