Excerpts from a rare interview with French film critic Michel Ciment interviewing reclusive American movie director Stanley Kubrick about the themes and artistry of his films. The ones mentioned here are "Barry Lyndon" "The Shining" and "Full Metal Jacket". In which Kubrick discusses things such as research, lighting, ghosts, Kafka and duality.

  • Great interview, thx for posting this. I didn`t know that an audio version of this even existed.

But what`s up with the picture at 09:34 ?

    I think it`s edited.

  • @MrZkinandBonez You're welcome. I don't know. It may be. I just tried to find as many pictures of Stanley that I could that would fill up the time frame.

  • where can you get the full audio interview?
