very often the king valve has 2 1/4" ports, where one of the ports is the service port that can be closed off by backseating the stem, and the other port has always connection to the input side of the king valve, so a pressure switch or fan switch can be connected to it.

Good video we repair leaks all the time I work in a mill setting and most of the older ac units have been patched on. There in the process of buying new equipment all the time so we have our work set out. But I like the job so it's all good lol

DrZ,why wasn't the filter dryer properly mounted,rather than just laying down with the bracket on it.

why didn't you change the actual scroeder valve itself? shouldn't it stop the gas before it gets to the cap?

@paullee1000 King valves rarely have valve stems.
