President Obama is dealing with Iraq, Afghanistan, Wall Street, Home Foreclosure, Unemployment, Auto companies, Green Jobs, Health care. Is he taking on too much too soon. Will he remembered as a President wanted to do a lot and accomplished nothing. The Washington Post article is the basis for our conversation -

  • As this group says one of the problems is that Obama needs to show leadership. But so far he has shown none. Telling people to air up their tires to save gas and berating his opponents as he did John McCain at on of the health care meetings when he told McCain "John, the elections over and I won". That is not leadership, it's just mindless arrogance.

  • Obama promised health care reform but recently opposed a single-payer system endorsed by Conyers (HR 676)

Obama & environmentalism.. He recently approved requests for 42 additional mountain-top removal permits.

I don't think the success of this admistration (from a progressive standpoint) will depend on the desire to please everyone because "everyone" is not on the same page. Our country requires a systematic overhaul on many fronts & most of those are guarded by his cabinet officials

  • So many sectors of our economy need his attention. Worlds issues like North Korea , Somalia, Pakistan and Israel. I don not know what President would have served during these times and would try to do less,
