We put the new 16:9 high def Sony HXR-MC1P On our mate Gav's Cycling helmet facing back at him.
We used a telescopic extension bar with a couple of double hook and loop mounts and a super clamp as a counter balance.
The camera was upside down due to the mounting thread being on the under side of the camera so we used Sony Vegas Pro 8.0 to flip the image the right way up.
This shot would have looked even better if we had the wide angle lens fitted.
Luckily, Gav's an experienced rider and managed to stay on the bike the whole way down the farm track. Thanks for that!

  • Yeah, we really needed the wider angle lens for it but they are being a bit slow to release it.

Actually, the pole was already about 3 ft long with counter weights on the back!

The camera is awesome and i would recommend it but then it should be for the price! You will need a really good PC with some good software to edit the video though.

    Cheers,

    mark

  • nice....

but you should have to pole longer so you can see your bike and whole body... not just focusing on his head !!!

anyways how to you find the camera....(easy to use etc..)

    do you recommend it....??

    cheers.

  • why would you want the camera pointed at you??

  • cool
