Here it is tackling a load of bright colors! It's a very interesting machine, it uses a surprising amount of water for HE washers these days. It also pauses for short periods very much like a frontloader does when it changes directions, however, this washer cannot tumble in both directions. It just pauses to pause I guess, might be part of the "Wrinkle Control" feature?

I've read and seen pictures that Haier (I think) has taken up the design now that Maytag is gone and given it a new outer case. Perhaps it will be available globally!

Sorry, no sound in this vid, my camera doesn't record sound unfortunately...

  • @rachelkittycarl My Aunt Irene had one of these machines. I have to say this is the only "HE" machine that was any good. The Cabrio, Calypso, and the Harmony machines are a joke. I just don't see how they get the laundry clean. This is the only one that came close to a front loader as far as how well it cleaned. The control board failures are a real issue with whirlpool and Maytag before they were bought out by Whirlpool. Whirlpool should have kept this machine in production.

  • tries hard to become a front load !!!

  • Very amazing looks, look the was very image of machine. What a best isn't!!!

  • @Tuthill99 they didnt make these long at all. The machine washes like a dream but the control board going out has been the biggest complaint. My 1st HE washer and now I am hooked. However I am not fixing it I am gonna sell it for $100. Big lose because I loved the way it cleaned and treated my clothes. Plus the touch screen is super COOL lol
