Elvis Presley Alive - Last Interview with Leyton Sommors as Elvis Presley

During his teenage years he had a growing passion for music and becoming a performer. During his life people often asked him if he was related to someone in The United States, but Leyton never knew who they were reffering to. During the Seventies he was the Drummer and occasional Lead Singer of his own Band, with whom he mainly performed in Holiday Resorts. Leyton used to sing Frank Sinatra Songs, but then in 1975 a fellow Bandmember suggested he would be better suited to sing Elvis Presley Songs. Leyton's Star was slowly rising, and after Elvis Presley died in 1977 Fans demanded Leyton to sing more Elvis Presley Songs and to do Tribute Performances. Leyton travelled and performed all around the world. In 1978 Leyton was asked to play the Leadrole as "Elvis" in the English Stage Musical "Forever Elvis", after which he became a highly demanded Performer and Model for Commercials, Advertising Campaigns and Guest Appearances in Pop Video's. The older Leyton became the more he started to look like Elvis Presley, and his resemblance was all natural. Leyton Sommors was Elvis Presley in every way. Then on 5 December 1999 his life ended as tragically as the life of Elvis Presley. While being at his home in Manchester, United Kingdom he suddenly died caused by a heart attack. Leyton died at the age of 63 looking like he was still in his early Fourties. Leyton was a Legend in his own time, there was just no one like him, and when he died the Entertainment World lost a True and Unique Talent.

When Leyton Sommors started his career he named himself Les Summers, after a couple of years he changed his name to Leyton Sommors. Eventhough many people refered to him as Leyton Summers or Leyton Sommers he never named himself that way. Some people even called him Elvis Presley, and when people asked him if he really was the legendary King of Rock & Roll, Leyton always said; "I can Not say I am Elvis Presley and I can Not say that I am Not, because either way I would answer this question I would incriminate myself...".

During 1997 a Documentary was made to be Broadcast on English Television. Part of that Documentary was this Interview, but after this Interview was Recorded it was decided Never to Release or Broadcast this Interview. Unfortunately the Original Master of this Interview has been lost, but One Copy survived and has recently been digitally restored. There was nothing like meeting Leyton in person, there just was no one like him, it was like meeting Elvis himself. Leyton is still dearly missed by us all. @deboisblanc In this "Interview" Leyton is Acting like he is Elvis. This Video was mend to use as a Promo for an English Television Series called "Double Trouble" which was broadcast on Channel Four. This Video however was never broadcast or used in any way. So Leyton is Acting and all his Answers are fake! For all people who can't read: The Title of this Video is "Elvis Presley Alive" and it was one of the Last Interviews with Leyton before he died. Leyton Sommors was NOT Elvis Presley!!!

@MisFarmer Leyton always looked like this, with or without the jumpsuit! I have photos of Leyton dressed like ordinarry, but still he looked like Elvis. I remember we once had a talk while driving and I asked him if he had any photos of him as a child. Leyton then told me that all his photos of his childhood got lost during a fire, ofcourse I do not know for sure if that was true, but knowing Leyton I have every reason to believe he was telling me the truth.

also the way he talks (he stutters a little) is just like Elvis if you watch any interview of him

@dbs104 Leyton Sommors was Not Elvis, but his personality, sence of humor, generosity and way of speach were very simular to Elvis. When I met Leyton for the first time I was chocked, he looked so much like Elvis! Meeting Leyton was like meeting Elvis, he was Elvis in every way, and women just loved him. I knew Leyton well, I was his Manager but he was also a good friend of mine. Leyton was Not Elvis, but I surely wished he was...

Really he looks like Elvis, but he's not Elvis. Nobody can look like Elvis as human, as artist, as performer...

One of the most unique features that the real Elvis had was his eyes, which his daughter, Lisa Marie also has eyes very close to her father's. His smile was also another dead giveaway if it is the real Elvis or a look-a-like. The snarl was quentissential Elvis Presley.
