Very nice koi pond :) since I was 14 I always wanted to build a koi pond. I'm 17 now and in spring I'm going to start my koi pond. It will be 10ft by 10ft and 3ft deep.
@fishtanksandkoiponds Oh well i only know about keeping one i guess there can be problems with 3 ie; fighting, breeding, waste, territory, disease, and stress I must have misread that I thought for a second he meant just one sorry. Do you have saltwater stocking expirience also? I had a question on my tank and am torn between a few options from online, friends, and my sketchy LFS
@xmazz31x also not being rude but that is not true, goldgish live for 50+ years and keeping them in a bowl stunts there growth. if you had success with it, im happy. but they do not belong in tanks that small unless it will be JUST a few goldfish
@fishtanksandkoiponds not to be rude but as a kid, I kept a medium goldfish in a larfge goldfish bowl and it lived for 3 years. It died when the power went out for days in the winter and never had health problems. I think 36 gallons would be more than enough??? I changed the water every 3 to 6 days though.
@tvshowuploader7 no. sorry but no. 36 gallons is to small for goldfish, and tetras should not be in there... i would give the fish away and start the tank over. cycle it properly and then set up a tropical tank
@tvshowuploader7 but is it ok if I can add a airstone filter for my goldfish with the tetra filter in it because I know goldfish need circulation right?
@tvshowuploader7 oh my tank is 36 gallon bowfront do I need to get a better filter for my 36 gallon freshwater tank instead because I am going to trade my aqua clear 20 soon but I am worried that the filter will be too strong for my neon tetras?
@tvshowuploader7 thats not good. how big is the aquarium? id assume its very small. goldfish need huge tanks with huge filtration systems. your tank is problem experiencing very high ammonia and nitrite
