Americans...we live in a cynical nation now...preferring to sit back and predict failure before meaningful progress can be achieved...There is still much to be achieved...on the Earth...The Moon and beyond...But we will not get there...we cannot do these things if we continue to bury our passions in demagoguery and ideology...We have to come together without malice for good of all us.

It does not only take engineering expertise, political will and money to accomplish great things. There is one ingredient w confortably ignore. It is called "Sheer Arrogance".

the moon landings were accomplished with less computer power than today's pocket calculators!

Its that arrogance and dogged ruthless determination that made the US the most powerful and beautiful nation in the world. The rest of the world is catching up now. The US needs more JFKs. This comes from an Indian.

I think arrogance is the wrong word, i think you are hinting towards 'ignorance', surely bravery would be a better word still

These were not exactly my words, I had to quote them, but i dont remember the name of the person who said this..

I think arrogance is good, if it is not directed at someone. No Hatred here. Just that feeling within that were the best in the world and we need to accomplish the impossible. :)

DAMMIT WHY DID HE HAVE TO DIE!

That man and Ronald Reagan were the best damn presidents of the last century!

If a perfect copy of JFK ever ran against against a perfect copy of RR, I'd Blue Screen of Death lol!

A pity neither party produces such leadership anymore. -_-
